Care and the Alzheimer’s Patient

Developing a
personal care routine for the Alzheimer’s patient
can be difficult. Some patients refuse to shower or
have a sudden fear of water on their face. Others
struggle with dignity issues and frustration of
having to rely on you for help. This course will
help you understand how to manage some of these
concerns as well as how to provide personal care in
a way that honors the patient’s preferences and
dignity. This class is appropriate for family
caregivers and spouses as well as home health
agencies, hospices, assisted living facilities and
community service agencies.
